I'm starting a list of things not to do before a marathon training run:
- Don't eat a Chipotle steak & black bean burrito for lunch
I learned this today the hard way. Ate my burrito at about 12:30 for lunch. I figured I'd have plenty of time to digest, since I wasn't running until 4:00 pm. Well... I hit the dreadmill for my 4 mile run at straight up 4 o'clock. 1 mile into the run, the burpies attacked. There is nothing like re-tasting a Chipotle burrito while you're trying to exercise to take the fight right out of you. I tried to continue for another half-mile, but it was hopeless. I thought I was going to hurl.
Lesson learned.
